- The position of the BCM process relative to other processes in the organisation
- Assessing the current state of the BCM process in an organisation and identifying steps to improve the process
- Designing a BCM process from an organisational perspective
- Distinguishing between tasks, responsibilities and policy
- The BCM policy and how it is articulated in a policy document.
Module 2: Identifying Threats and Vulnerabilities
- The consequences of failing to deliver a product or service as agreed
- Determining the maximum allowable downtime for processes
- Implementing preventive measures and knowing when to apply them
Module 3: Developing and Implementing a Business Continuity Plan
- The various components of a plan
- The costs and benefits associated with each plan
- Clarifying who is responsible for which plan within the organisation
- The structure of a plan
- Enhancing organisational resiliency to recover from a threat that has affected the organisation
