VoIP Training in Cape Town

This course is structured into two complementary segments: theoretical and practical. The initial one-day session provides an introduction that covers the motivation, philosophy, fundamentals, and operational rules of the SIP protocol, as well as its application in implementing telecom services with a focus on IP telephony and VoIP. The subsequent two-day segment allows participants to explore the practical aspects of service operation through hands-on laboratory exercises. These exercises provide detailed insights into configuring components of the SIP telephony architecture, understanding SIP signalling at both message sequence chart and internal message structure levels, and assist in grasping typical problems and troubleshooting techniques, including security and telecom fraud aspects. Trainers will share their experience in launching, operating, and managing SIP telephony, covering virtualization and cloud-based solutions. The practical component utilizes both SIP hardphones and softphones alongside IP telephony servers (Asterisk and Freeswitch). Participants can benefit from the trainers' extensive technical and business experience in IP telephony by submitting their own problems and questions, which will be addressed in the agenda during the wrap-up to meet current urgent client needs.
