This training will explain how to use SysML, the systems engineering modelling language. You will discover block diagrams for modelling the structure of complex systems. You will delve deeper into the sequence diagram, state diagram, and activity diagram for dynamic modelling. You will also learn how to use SysML-specific diagrams such as the requirements diagram and parametric diagram, as well as the concept of allocation. We will also emphasize the need to define a modelling approach appropriate to the company's context and the type of system being studied. Practical exercises will be carried out using NoMagic's Cameo Systems Modeler (MagicDraw) modelling tool.

Domain-Driven Design (DDD) is a robust software development methodology that centres on modelling complex business behaviors by aligning technical implementation with core business concepts. This course examines how DDD enables teams to manage complexity and mitigate risk through strategic and tactical patterns. Participants will learn to develop a "Ubiquitous Language," establish clear boundaries via Bounded Contexts, and utilise specific building blocks such as Entities, Value Objects, and Aggregates. The objective is to construct flexible, maintainable software architectures that remain consistent with the evolving business domain.

Through a blend of lectures, demonstrations, and interactive labs, this course illustrates the foundational methods for creating and sustaining an Enterprise Architecture (EA) by utilising the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) version 1.2.

This instructor-led, live training is aimed at beginner-level engineers and professionals who wish to use MBPLE within CATIA Magic to understand and implement product line engineering concepts.

The OCSMP Model Builder – Fundamental examination evaluates the knowledge and skills necessary to construct a fundamental SysML model of a system. The test encompasses model concepts and organisation, basic requirements capture and management, structure and behaviour models, parametric models, allocation relationships, and the application of stereotypes. By leveraging the knowledge and skills acquired at this level, alongside familiarity with an appropriate SysML modelling tool, a holder of the OCSMP Model Builder – Fundamental Certification should serve as a productive contributor to modelling tasks undertaken by a Systems Engineering team utilising a model-based systems engineering approach with SysML. The OCSMP Model Builder – Fundamental Certification acts as a prerequisite for the programme’s two advanced levels and requires the OCSMP Model User Certification as its foundational prerequisite.

This examination (along with others in the OCSMP series) assesses your ability to apply the listed knowledge and skills within the context of a system model. As you study, look beyond individual diagrams to understand how the aspects they model can influence or impact those represented in other diagram types.

In this instructor-led, live training in Cape Town (online or onsite), participants will learn how to use SysML as implemented in Enterprise Architect (EA) to carry out system requirements analysis and modelling.
