The curriculum is centred around a practical workflow I previously managed manually for a former employer. We will construct a Power App using Microsoft Power Apps to monitor tasks related to house construction, storing the data in SharePoint for simplicity. Subsequently, we will leverage Power Virtual Agents to demonstrate how to enable bots within Microsoft Teams, guiding users to locate documents scattered across various SharePoint sites, such as loan documents, budgets, and sales contracts. I observe significant potential for these bots within HR and IT teams, particularly for managing repetitive inquiries. I will also show you how to configure simple flows in Power Automate to archive attachments from designated senders (in our scenario, the bank's inspection reports for the units). Additionally, we will explore other straightforward flows that capture data from Microsoft Forms back into SharePoint and establish fully automated processes using the approvals app within Microsoft Teams. Once the app, bot, and flow are established, the final step involves creating a straightforward Power BI report. We will utilise Power Automate to send a snapshot of the table containing the most recently completed tasks every two weeks to a specific recipient (the bank in this example). This report will request a drawdown, including the task completion dates and associated budget amounts—all data collected via the app. Finally, as this course remains at a high level, I recommend that learners use ChatGPT for more technical aspects, such as coding or formulas in Power Apps. However, this is also covered in the course, where I demonstrate how to effectively utilise ChatGPT to assist with Power Apps formulas.
