Transformation must permeate all levels of the organisation; hence, this module teaches about the transformation leaders, mindsets, capabilities, and culture that must be adopted. We also distinguish between transformation leaders/management and technology leaders/management.

Day Five
- Transformation Roadmap
Day Five is the concluding day of the course. We are guided step-by-step through the ten phases of the transformation roadmap that all companies undergo during their digital business transformation journey. A roadmap helps everyone in the organisation understand each step of the process. The THRIVE framework, on the other hand, provides the principles to build a roadmap tailored to your company’s environment.
Phase 1 explains the roadmap, followed by various steps such as aligning leadership, analysing the market, establishing responses, and activating transformation readiness. The remaining five phases are explained in the next module.
- Phase 1: Understand the Roadmap
- Phase 2: Align the Leadership
- Phase 3: Analyze the Market
- Phase 4: Establish Response Strategies
- Phase 5: Activate Transformation Readiness
Transformation Roadmap Continued...
Any roadmap must be holistic, ensuring all THRIVE principles are applied. The roadmap helps ensure that THRIVE principles and lessons are implemented in the correct sequence. This module covers the remaining phases of the transformation roadmap: innovating strategically, preparing, prioritising, and presenting business cases, defining portfolios, and executing and managing the transformation. We will also complete a digital business case to apply these lessons practically.
- Phase 6: Innovate Strategically
- Phase 7: Prepare and prioritise digital use cases
- Exercise: Digital Use Cases

Course Conclusion
This module concludes all the lessons learned in this course. We compare two firms – one that follows the THRIVE principles and one that does not – to understand why the framework is important, universal, and adaptable to fit a company’s objectives. We also watch a short clip on why companies need to be digitally transformed today.
